Are you sick of including boring and hard-to-follow ReadMe text files with your items? Do you lack a tool or the expertise to create slick HTML documentation with a table of contents pane? Then you need to check out The Documenter.
The Documenter is a free online documentation tool created by ThemeForest author Xaver (RevaxArts). This tool is the reason he was selected as Community Superstar for March. Thanks Xaver, and congratulations!

I love visiting our AppStorm sites. They cover lots of great software—not all of which is free. Here are some AppStorm posts from the last month that caught my eye and do talk about freebies. Which are your favorites?
At some point, most people have a moment when they want to transfer video from a computer to a portable device like an iPod or phone. Well, if you’ve been in this situation, then you know that some devices can only play a selection of video formats, and that you usually need a video converter to transfer your video files across to a different format.
Most video converter apps are not free, in fact, they tend to be on the expensive side. But today we are presenting to you a free app from this category.
It’s called Miro Video Converter, and we’ll be sharing our thoughts along with drawing comparisons to a very similar app, Permute!
It’s always an incredibly touch choice when we have to pick just one community superstar for the month. The Envato community is filled with helpful, kind, and wonderful people and as it gors it’s getting tougher and tougher to make a single pick. However, we’ve gone through the forums and marketplaces and have decided on the Envato Community Superstar for March.
We’re back and with more information than ever. If you’re a marketplace author you definitely don’t want to miss this episode. We have Jason Ellis, the Marketplace Manager, with us on this episode to clear up some frequently asked questions. Join us for an episode filled with dirty jokes engaging conversation, news, and general goofiness. We have a variety of download options listed for you below, as well as the show notes.
Show notes below the break!
WorkAwesome and Snipplr.com are sites we run at Envato. Since September of 2009, we’ve watched WorkAwesome grow into a passionate community of professionals who want to be more awesome at work. At Snipplr, we’ve seen strong membership growth and some very positive enhancements to the site. But due to a change of direction at Envato, we’ve decided that it’s time for some fresh new owners for both of these properties.
Until the handover happens it will be business as usual for both sites. The auctions for WorkAwesome and Snipplr.com are slated to finish up on the 31st of March. If you are an entrepreneur interested in purchasing either of these sites, please see the listings on Flippa.com.
Everyone knows we run Bundles several times a year – multiple files by multiple authors, packed together and sold for a few days at a discounted rate. But did you know that several of our marketplaces contain packs of multiple files that are available all year round for a discounted rate?
February Forums ReviewIf you’re not already a member of the Envato Marketplace forums, I invite you to join us today. If you’re already a member, what were some of you’re favorite threads from February? Was there anything that you really enjoyed on the forums? Let’s take a closer look at what was hawt recently on the forums!
We want to hear from you. Each week we give you a chance to share your thoughts, opinions and ideas. Have your say!
What did you love or hate most about last week’s iPad announcement? Will you be getting an iPad 2? Why or why not? Black or white?
The more people that see your files, the better chances you have at generating sales. We’ve mentioned a lot of ways of getting extra traffic to your profile: using social media like Twitter and Facebook (we’ll talk more about that soon), and promoting your files on your own website. Another great way to get exposure for your files is Adobe Exchange.
According to Adobe, Exchange is:
a central resource for finding tools, services, and innovations that supplement and extend your Adobe products.
It’s also a great place to advertise them—for free! Their categories include After Effects, Flash Professional, Flex, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and many more.
In a blogpost, site manager Mark Brodhuber challenged VideoHive authors to give Adobe Exchange a go. Author D’Zinc took up that challenge. He added just two items to Adobe Exchange, and after one week he came back to the forums to let us know how effective it was. See how his little experiment went after the break. And believe me, you don’t want to miss this!
